Lobotomy

The pain has now lessened.
And the fear has been driven away.
The tears have been wiped clean and
The harsh words sink in deep.
Deep into the blood that now flows clean.
From the gashes of blades meticulously stricken.
Not skin deep as the winds around change.
And rages into a tempest of unfathomable proportions.
The tides of sanity are now being driven backwards
As the moon goes farther away
And its light like a whip to the bone.
The flesh is singed beyond repair
As the needle is driven into the eye.
The cords around the throat tighten
And the blade is cleaned to strike.
And a smile is all that is left.

Happily departed
The lobotomy of life
Has finally cured
The insane asylum of my mind.
And all that’s left now
Is to move towards nothing.

Dark, gory, yet beautifully written :)

And just like,
There was peace. :)

No sarcastic smiles, no crimson hues,
No bloodbath, no lobotomy,
Just a couple stupidly in love,
And laughing away in bliss.

:D

And I like gory stuff. :P

@Enchanta :
After the darkest night of the tempest,
The sun must awaken in the morn.
And the droopy eyes must open anew.
The smiles must be conjured again.

Isn't that obvious? :P :D

The photo made me laugh out loud. The poem, however, left me in awe. Great poem. Thanks for sharing this at Poets Rally.
